Desert Report is a 24-page newsletter about the California and Nevada deserts. All policy, editing, reporting, and graphic design is the work of volunteers. Our Mission
The Sierra Club California/Nevada Desert Committee works for the protection and conservation of the deserts of California, Nevada and other areas in the Southwest; monitors and works with public, private, and non-profit agencies to promote preservation of our arid lands; sponsors education and service trips; encourages and supports others to work for similar objectives; and maintains, shares and publishes information about the desert.

Desert Forum
If you find Desert Report interesting, sign up for the CNRCC Desert Committee’s e-mail listserv, Desert Forum. Here you’ll find open discussions of items interesting to desert lovers. Many articles in this issue of Desert Report were developed through Forum discussions. Electronic subscribers will continue to receive current news on these issues—plus the opportunity to join in the discussions and contribute their own insights.
